Karnataka is a state located in south western reaches of India. It was formerly known as Mysore State and is the only state which is bordered by other four south states of India. The word Karnatak is derived from the words karu and nadu which means “elevated land”. This state has many unique things associated with it such as great filter coffee, national parks and sanctuaries, mystical waterfalls and amazing southern Indian delicacies. 

Our 3 nights 4 days Hampi Badami Tour starts from the city of Mumbai, which is the capital city of the state of Maharashtra.

Hampi is a UNESCO World Heritage site which is located on the banks of the Tungabhadra River in east-central Karnataka. Hampi is the most famous place for tourists to go in Karnataka, where they can experience ancient temples and stone monuments overlooking the rice paddy fields. This place has a lot of boulders, where you can go for bouldering and take hikes along the place where you will get to witness the most beautiful sunrise and sunsets. 

Badami which was formerly known as Vatapi, is an ancient site located in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka. It is famous for its stone and rock architecture, The structures are made from red sandstone which surrounds Agastya Lake. 

The best time to visit Karnataka is from the months of October to April where the weather remains pleasant and is neither too hot nor too cold.

Itinerary:

Day 0
Train Journey in CSMT GADAG EXP (11139) at 09:30 PM from Mumbai / Pune. Overnight Journey toward Badami

Day 1

  • Reach Badami Station.
  • Move toward Home Stay/Hotel by Autos, Time to Freshen up.
  • Start exploring Badami after Lunch.
  • Visit Badami Cave Temples and nearby monuments while enjoying the beautiful sunset.
  • Back to Hotel late in the evening. Night stay at Badami.

Day 2

  • Early morning checkout.
  • Visit Patadakkal – Aihole temple complex & proceed to Hampi by pvt non ac vehicle.
  • Check in Home Stay in Hampi.
  • Freshen up Start exploring Hampi.
  • Will visit Virupaksha Temple, Hemakuta Hill Temples Sit back and watch the setting sun at Hemakuta hills.
  • Dinner Sleep time

Day 3

  • Wake up, freshen up and Visit Mallyavanta Hill temple.
  • Visit Kadalekalu & Sasivekalu Ganesha temple, Krishna temple and Laxmi Narasimha Statue, Badavilinga Temple and nearby sightseeing.
  • Travel towards Kishkinda side by autos. Visit Sanapur lake, we will enjoy the Coracle ride here !
  • After Lunch Visit Durga Temple, Sugriva caves and other monuments.
  • Will do a short hike to Witness beautiful sunset from Anjaneya mountain (Birthplace of Lord Hanuman) . We chill together and have dinner in Café.
  • Sleep time or chill with fellow trip buddies

Day 4

  • Early Morning We start the short optional hike to Matanga hill and witness the beautiful sunrise with panoramic views of the Vijaynagar kingdom. Walk on the banks of Tungabhadra to explore Achyutaraya temple complex. Riverside ruins Monolithic Bull.
  • After Breakfast, Change, freshen up and checkout. We visit Vitthala temple and enjoy the beautiful architecture with a guided tour of the same, Stone Chariot, Musical Pillars & other monuments.
  • While returning we will visit Queen’s Bath, Stepwell, Royal Enclosure, Hazara Rama Temple and Underground Temple – Prasanna.
  • After Lunch Start exploring Lotus Mahal Elephant stable and nearby Monuments and finally enjoy Shopping at Hampi Bazar.
  • We reach Hospete bus stand at 4 PM and take our respective buses to back to Hometown.

Day 5

  • We will reach Pune around 05:00 AM and Mumbai 07:00 AM depending on traffic.

  • Cancellation within 24 hours of payment 100% refundable. (Not applicable on payments made before or less than 36 hours of the event. Only 20% will be refunded in this case.)
  • If cancellation is done prior to 10 days of outing 90% refundable.
  • If cancellation is done prior to 6 days of outing 60% will be refunded.
  • If done prior to 3 days of outing 30% will be refunded
  • After that, no refund will be provided
